Aging Care Consulting, Inc.

We provide  registered nurse consultation related to aging and the adult family home placement process in the Greater Seattle/Puget Sound area . Included in our services are  appropriate utilization of community resources and necessary referrals.  Each  person is individually assessed by our registered nurse, who  in turn will evaluate the  specific needs of each person, identify appropriate resources, and make referrals to a network of providers, and agencies to meet the needs of each individual.

We also provide registered nurse adult family home,(AFH) assessments as required by Washington state law.

The staff at Aging Care Consulting Inc. are dedicated to guiding you and your older family member  in the journey of aging, and providing you with comprehensive information, in order that you can make informed decisions for you or your loved one's care needs ,including Adult Family Home placements, and  the associated   WA state required nursing assessments in the Greater Seattle area for adult family home placement. Our nurse assessor has  27 years of geriatric nursing experience.

Biography:

Colleen A. Harrison, RN, BSN, Director and Founder

Colleen has over 27 years of nursing experience. She obtained her Bachelors of Science in nursing  from Seattle Pacific University , Seattle ,WA.

Her nursing background includes working at the University of Washington Medical center, on a variety of medical surgical units. She then moved into Home health working in the greater Seattle area, as well as Snohomish county. More recently she worked in a variety of assisted living-retirement communities functioning as a nurse manager and overseeing the care of seniors  and affliated  care staff. She is well acquainted with the needed transitions for various levels and types of care during the aging process.

She has a special passion working with seniors who suffer from various types of dementia .Supporting  and educating family members during periods of transitional care with older adults is her specialty.
